🇩🇿➡️🇪🇸 Great news for everyone handling documentation between Algeria and Spain
Long waiting times at the Spanish Consulate in Algeria to authenticate documents will come to an end.
Why? Because Algeria has just joined the Hague Convention.
This brings a major change:
✅ It will no longer be necessary to authenticate documents at the Spanish Consulate.
The Hague Apostille will be enough to submit documents in Spain, whether for a Schengen visa, a residency permit, family reunification, or any other procedure.
✅ Time and paperwork savings.
Waiting lists for authentications and collections will disappear, reducing delays and inconvenience.
✅ Translations done in Algeria will also be valid in Spain, as long as they carry the apostille.
Until now, the Spanish consulate did not authenticate translations made in Algeria, forcing people to repeat or redo procedures. This change aligns the process with other countries like Morocco.
Without a doubt, this is great news that will greatly speed up and simplify procedures for thousands of people.
Let’s hope its official implementation in Algeria is quick and efficient.
A big step forward to facilitate mobility and international procedures! 🌍✍️
